Zuma, Okorocha agree to provide free education to poor children in Africa

South African President Jacob Zuma and Imo Governor Rochas Okorocha have agreed to work together to provide free education to poor children in Africa.

On behalf of their facility, Okorocha said the best gift and gift that could be given to any child is free, quality and quantitative education.



Okorocha said the purpose of MoU signed with the Jacob Zuma Foundation came as a result of his dream to communicate life and provide free education to less privileged children.

"17 years ago, this dream came to me to touch the lives of children with lower privileges." For my reasons, I could hardly go to school because of poverty. bless me so that I can bless others, "he said.

He added that he shares much in common with the president of South Africa, who does not have an official education due to poor background.

I have read a bit about your history and it seems like I share things with you as you grow older and the challenges you have had as a child without the privilege of going to a regular school or to see Four walls of the classroom but more properly learned in prison. I am not detained but I am a poor prisoner, "Okorocha said.

The governor said the purpose of the South African President's visit to Nigeria was not political but for the children.

"President Zuma is not in Nigeria because of any social interaction or any political reason he's in Nigeria for humanitarian reasons," he said.
