Ghana’s Shatta Wale Blasts Wizkid

Charles Nii Armah Mensah, a Ghanaian-born producer and reggae-dancehall musician popularly known as Shatta Wale, has called boy Star Wizkid from Nigeria on social media. Wale affirms that he sees the singer of Ojuelegba as an ordinary and not extraordinary person.

He wrote:

"I will not see Wizkid and he will surprise me, I prefer him to see me and be surprised because I do not see anything extraordinary about him, even though he claims to be the best African artist," he said.

The Ghanaian artist also added that he does not boast of his wealth or compete with anyone, but it is time for Ghanaian artists to respect themselves and stop qualifying Nigerian artists to heaven.

He made this statement during an interview on the Ghana radio station, Kasapa FM.

He said that most of his fellow Ghanaian musicians generally lose their composure and act in wonder around Wizkid, so they call him the best and richest African artist, but he (Shatta Wale) sees him as an ordinary person.
