5 Simple Steps to Becoming Rich Overnight

Ironically, people spend their whole lives to get rich overnight. From potions in medieval times to Bernie Madoff's money schemes, people have never stopped looking for ways to get rich quick. If you go to Forbes.com or Entrepreneur.com you will get many formulas to be successful and ways to get rich. I will put together three words that essentially mean the same thing for people: money, success, happiness. The problem is that people define the last two by the amount of the former. If you want to get rich overnight in a monetary sense, you would normally tell him to move on to another item. However, this is exactly for you. If you can follow these 5 simple steps, you will not only be truly rich but you will also find monetary success.

1. Appreciate your own existence.

If you fill a room with a thousand people and ask them how many of them are considered lucky, chances are only a few raise their hands. Maybe because they recently got promoted, had a baby or maybe because they have already taken these steps. But, in general, people do not consider themselves lucky. Maybe your tire disintegrated today, maybe your boss yelled at you or maybe you're just miserable.

However, these same people expect to turn around on their own and do it quickly without effort. How do we know this? Take the most obvious example, the lottery. Being killed by a vending machine, struck by lightning, become the president of the United States. What do these things have in common? The chances of these things happening in your life are extremely higher than those of winning a lottery. 1 in 259,000,000. Those were the odds of winning Mega Millions second prize. It seems that many people will quickly give up hope of becoming president or even follow their own passion, but they will gladly take these chances to become rich overnight. As a matter of fact, those who earn less than $ 13,000 per year spend 9% of their income on lottery tickets.

My point is that if you win the lottery and you were in the same room when the question was asked, now you would raise your hand, would not you? What if I told you, you've already made it to the lottery? Over and over, over and over ... The fact that you are here reading this message and breathing means it is already a product of trillions of "coincidences" that were combined at the right time and produced to you. The odds of their parents getting to know each other, found themselves attractive, kept together, decided to have it, is 1 in 2,000. Not bad. Now, the odds of being exactly who you are (a particular egg, knowing the particular sperm) are 1 in 4 quadrillion. Try typing that number. This also means that each of their ancestors also had to have similar probabilities, which makes their probabilities of existence even worse. Then, taking all these factors into account, guess what your chances of existing. Zero. Or as close to zero as possible. These mathematical probabilities tell us that you should not exist in this little universe of ours, but there you are, sitting and breathing. You have reached the lottery. You've hit him many times.

2. Change your perspective.

But I do not feel lucky. I do not have possessions that many other people have. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothing on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, it has more than 75% of the world. We mentioned people earning $ 13,000, most people in the United States would consider them poor. However, according to the Global Rich List, someone earning this income is among 11% of the richest people in the world by income. It would take an average of 81 years for a worker in Ghana to earn what he earns in a year. In Azerbaijan, their monthly income could pay the salaries of 56 doctors. It is perspective.

If you are hungry and you come across a plate of food, you are happy. Until you see someone with two. In the meantime, you may even have enough to feed two people. But you will be so concerned about the fact that someone else has on your plate that you will forget to enjoy your own food, and certainly will not help another person not to feel hungry. Instead of the joy you initially felt, you feel greed, anger and even disappointment in yourself. It is a simple example, but this is how our world turns.

Many parents spend their whole lives working hard so that one day their children do not have to. Three jobs, maybe a nanny at home, a lot of stress, but it's all worth it. Or is that? What is the most important thing for a child? His parents. Is something missing in the first scenario? Your. You are working hard to get a better job, so you can pay for a better car or a better home, but it will never be enough. Meanwhile, the child grows up without the love, support and attention he needs. Suddenly, a new perspective comes in. Your most precious commodity in the world, your time, is spent on things that do not even matter. Yes, we need basic things like food, a safe home and we have to work to get them. However, success is not what the media defines.

3. Define what it is to be rich.

To get rich, whether you have millions in your name or nothing, you need to define what success has for you. The media portray success as living in a big house, hosting extravagant parties, driving a million dollar car or being in the spotlight. For me, all those things are just compensation for NOT being happy. They invested their most precious and finite merchandise in collecting an enormous amount of ... paper. To reach this point, many had to abandon their childhoods, pass on to their friends and co-workers. Instead of growing as human beings, becoming more compassionate, they developed a sense of self-importance, greed, and developed an indifference to the rest of the world. They may know how to work hard, but their efforts are not used to make the world a better place.

I think success is much simpler. It is about being happy and making others happy. That's. I do not think any person needs a yacht or a $ 2000 bag to be happy. The set "I would rather sleep in a Ferrari, than in the street" is silly. Yes, nobody wants to live on the street. But no one would have to do it if we put our needs on the same level as those of others. What would happen if you gave him that portion of your plate we talked about and fed another instead of looking at someone else's plate? What if we define success by being happy and making others happy? If you base your whole life trying to achieve another person's definition of success, you will never achieve your own.

So what is rich? Rich is in the moment. Rich knows you're making the world a better place. Rich is being healthy. Rich knows that you spent your days doing important things. Rich knows if you fall, someone will pick you up. Rich is picking up someone else who is depressed. Rich is taking one but giving two. But being rich is not a number. If this is how Forbes defined the rich, how many of the same people would really be on the richest list in the world? Suddenly you could be a candidate?

4. Give.

But I do not have enough, how can I give? They are often the ones who have the least, who give more. If you thought you could make yourself rich by just taking, you were wrong. If a tree falls and no one is near to hear it, will it make a sound? It seems that most people do not think so. Our solution to the great problems of the world is to ignore it until it goes or goes to war. Take prison, for example, if a person does something against the law, punish them by locking them somewhere. Give him 10 years; they will be as good as new. It would be the same as taking a rotten fruit, putting it in a box for 10 days and then throwing it with the rest of the fruit, hoping that it is now cool. However, we do not address the underlying problem or even solve the current problem. What about the environment in which those people grow? How about working with your current problems and trying to address and rehabilitate them? By using our "ignore it until it's gone" theory, are not we making it worse?

That's why we have to give. 99% of donations do not have to involve money. Have not we heard stories in which a simple smile at school prevented someone from committing suicide? How did a pair of shoes prevent someone from freezing in the winter? How did a compliment make someone's day? If you help or you are kind to someone, you are likely to do the same to others. There were many occasions when someone paid a toll or a meal for the person behind them, and instead of just taking this cute gesture, the receiver did the same with the person behind. And even if they did not, they were happier at that point than they were minutes earlier. Then you made the difference. Now take the opposite, if you do not give it or add something negative, will not it spread like an illness?

To be rich, give. Does the world seem like a bad place? Add a little love, chances are you will get the same thing again. Be it a smile, a laugh or a hug. It costs nothing, but it makes a big difference. Without the happiness of others, you will not have your own.

5. Surround yourself with the best.

Now, this point has been made over and over again. You've probably heard this many times, but you have not done it yet. Surround yourself with good people. If you want to throw an idea or just be happier, there is no bigger obstacle than your surroundings. That includes your "friends". We define what it is to be rich, so surround yourself with "rich" people. It is up to you to achieve your goals, but sometimes you need a boost. But friends are not there for when you need them, friends are there to laugh together, learn and grow as human beings. If somebody brings you the worst qualities, they are not friends.

Surround yourself with kindness, even if you are not kind. It's contagious.
